The Rhodes Memorial Scholarship

On March 11, 2021, we lost a friend of the Northern California Trail and Ultra Running scene. Robert Rhodes, was a trail runner, trail Race Director, trail film festival promoter, 100 Mile Finisher, friend to the trails and runners in our community. He was also an aspiring photographer elevating his craft regularly. In 2019 we hired Robert to shoot The Groves in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This was his first paid gig at a trail running event. The very first photo he took on his way to the event that we will never forget. It’s heavenly, and the scene here in this photo. In tribute to his love for photography and to all the amauter photographers out there, we will honor his legacy with a winner from each race being named after him. The winners will receive $100 in race credits to a future Pacific Coast Trail Runs event. The rules are simple.

1. All entrants must be entered in the event.
2. All entrants must post their photos to the “Race Specific Photo Link”.
3. All photos must be posted before the end of day Tuesday following the event.
4. All photos must be shot horizontally.
5. All photos must include another person besides you. You can be in the photo.
6. No Selfies.

TEAM PCTR will judge the entries and make a decision of the winner by the end of the week.
